Gisborne is getting set to ring in the New Year in epic fashion by hosting their iconic music festival ‘Rhythm and Vines’ this December and have already announced the first round of headline artists that are set to take the stage at Waiōhika Estate.

Grammy-nominated United States’ rapper Ice Spice is set to headline and will be joined by United Kingdom artist Sammy Virji, EDM producers Koven, RL Grime and Meduza. Additionally, the festival well welcome home Sir Dave Dobbyn once again this year.

Dobbyn last played the festival in the iconic sunset slot on New Year’s Eve in 2022.

Tūī winner Corrella, Sachi, Cassie Henderson, and rising star Frankie Venter will be a part of the festival as well, and more will be announced as close to 100 are scheduled to perform during the event’s run from December 29th through December 31st.

The festival was founded by Hamish Pinkham, Tom Gibson, and Andrew Witters in 2003.
