Canterbury Police continue to investigate the death of a woman who was found in a Christchurch motel yesterday.
The woman, whose identity has not yet been revealed, was found dead at the Terra Vive motels yesterday, July 12th.
Police were called to the scene at around 11:45am. The woman, who was found in one of the hotel rooms, was reportedly in her 30s. ,
“Police are undertaking ongoing inquiries on behalf of the coroner,” said Detective Senior Sergeant David Harvey. The incident is being treated as unexplained.

Terra Vive motels has declined to comment on the incident, referring all inquiries to police. The hotel is currently open for business, according to a hotel employee.
No formal details will be provided about the woman until her next of kin is informed.
A post-mortem will be conducted by the end of today, and police said that they are hoping a complete scene examination for today. The death has also been referred to the coroner.
