News :Akron / Family… it’s about time….!

Mystery Girl, Galesburg and 95bFM are proud to present, for the first time EVER in New Zealand, Akron/Family who are set to smash the San Francisco Bathhouse on Wednesday 16th of December.

Formed in Brooklyn in 2002, this folk-influenced experimental rock three-piece has built an electrifying reputation for one hell of a live show, which sees strings, drums and guitars mingling with three-part harmonies that are intertwined with electronic sensibilities…  and of course a well-documented element of improvisation… neat.

Akron/Family have a solid four albums under their belt and this Australasian-leg-of-their-humngo-world-tour is in aid of their most recent release, Set ‘Em Wild, Set ‘Em Free (2009).
